So this might just be my most favorite time of year because of all the flowering trees. Yesterday I got out and had some fun with my new camera!

Happy Florzinhas

I planted these little guys last Friday, just before J&G came over for dinner. However, I've been so busy I didn't get a chance to take pictures. I can't believe how much they've already grown! To give some context, there are three separate plants in the white container (2 cilantro and 1 flower) -- none of which were big enough to touch when I first planted them. Not even a week later and they're getting all friendly! Love it!

Awesomely Autumn

You know how little kids can take an hour to walk around the block? That's how I felt tonight. Stopping--stooping and stretching--to take pictures of all the little treasures Autumn brings.

New Addition

Last weekend Bruno and I spent some time hanging out in Delaware... and by hanging out I mean "window shopping" and by window shopping I mean "pottery buying."  Here's my new strawberry pot!

Green is Good

I just can't get enough of my "prayer plant" (or so I dubbed it). Each night as the sun sets, the leaves fold up and remind me of hands in prayer. When new leaves sprout, they start out rolled up in a tube shape until they're ready to be completely unveiled. So nifty!

Come take a walk with me

I am so much calmer now than I was earlier today (see my previous post if you don't know what I'm talking about).  I got home and the sun was shining, the air was warm, and after all these days of rain, it was as if the cherry trees had blossomed into puffy clouds.  So I went outside.

Come along with me and take a look at what I saw...

That's how the cashier spoke to my plants as she bagged them up for me. They are cute, I can't deny that... but baby-talk? That's a bit much.

Artsy... or just Fartsy?

So my friend Liz is coming over today and we're going to try our hands at some flower thing my mom saw on HGTV. She told us about it while at the thrift store, so we got all excited and bought the vases we needed on half-price-day (gotta love that). The idea is to pot a flower down inside a glass vase so that you can see it through the vase. Hmm... (I'll take pictures)
