"Refreshed" is an understatement

As you all know, I've been fighting a cold all week. I came home yesterday, absolutely exhaustified -- to the point where I went straight to bed. Of course, I couldn't fall asleep right away because my mind was spinning and wide awake. So I played on Facebook and read emails. Finally, at about 5:30 I was ready to take a nap. A nap that lasted until 5:30 AM when my alarm went off. I never even heard B come home or get into bed! I only knew he was there because I saw him at 1AM when I got up for a drink of water. After all that sleep, today was the first day, EVER, that I sprang out of bed the first time my alarm sounded. Maybe I should just sleep for 12 hours every night :-p

  1. Glad you are feeling better! I always wish I could get a few hours more sleep and wonder if that's all it would take to make waking up not as bad. I went to bed last night at 10 pm and didn't have to get up till 7 and I thought that was pretty sweet. Sad thing is I woke up around 6 anyway b/c my body is used to being on the road by then.

  2. Aww! That's no fun when your inner clock overrides the outer one!

    It was super easy to wake up after 12 hours of sleep, but unfortunately that wasn't the cure-all for me cold. Still sniffling!
